Q: If my band gets Badass Merch will we become million-dollar rockstars?
A: Probably not, but your fans will think you are really bad-ass because your merch is so incredible. And that is always the first step to becoming a million-dollar rocker!
Q: If my band has a show in a few days can we get merch in time for the show?
A: Fuck Yea! It really only depends on where you are located and how many days it takes to ship to you. Just let us know where you need the shirts and by what date, and we will print your order like the flash on crack. And there will be no extra rush service fees (unlike other printers), however you will have to pay for the expedited shipping.
Q: You say you don't charge RUSH fees...what does this mean?
A: This means you can get a rush order for the same price as a regular order, granted that you have a specific event in a short amount of time. Most printers charge a percentage to get orders done in a hurry, but Badass Merch knows sometimes bands just don't have the time to plan ahead. We want to work with your deadline, so RUSH orders are welcome! You still have to pay for the order, and you have to pay for the shipping - but there are no extra RUSH order service fees.
Q: What is the difference between standard and premium tshirts?
A: Standard tshirts are what we consider to be a less expensive shirt that is optimal for a lower priced shirt, and a band with a smaller budget. Standard shirts include: Gildan, Fruit of the Loom, Anvil and Jerzees. We typically recommend Gildan or Fruit of the Loom, but at Badass your wish is our command!
Premium tshirts are basically american apparel tshirts. These shirts look and feel a bit more "vintage" and "soft" and can be sold for considerably more at shows...but are only a few bucks more than the standard tshirts.
We recommend premium (american apparel) tshirts for bands that can afford a few more bucks per shirt. We promise you won't be disappointed, and your fans will think you're top notch!
Brands we hate: Tultex (ugh!), Alternative Apparel (the shirts are cool, but WAAAAY too expensive!).
Q: Is my band badass?
A: Good question. It really depends on your dedication to your music and your fans...we feel that any band can be badass (but that doesn't mean that all bands are badass). First of all, you need to know the difference between merch and Badass Merch...we can help you with that. Second, if given a box of shirts we would like to think that you are badass enough to sell them all! Not being able to sell your merch is very un-badass. And third, listen to your fans - if they want american apparel tshirts, don't go cheap on them and bring a bunch of tultex shirts to the show!! If anyone knows what merch will sell, it will be the fans buying it.
Q: What if i'm not in a band, can I still get Badass Merch deals?
A: That depends on how badass you are, but probably not.
Q: How many days do I need in order to get a regular order or shirts?
A: Regular orders (non-RUSH orders) are printed and shipped within 7-10 business days of taking payment. Depending on our schedule and your location, your shirts may arrive sooner then estimated.
Q: I am on the East Coast, will you still print an order for my band?
A: Of course, we are in Los Angeles but we have customers all over the country (and even some overseas). One benefit from ordering from out-of-state is that you don't have to pay any taxes on your order - booya!
Q: What if my band needs merch, but we don't have any logos or graphics?
A: Not a problem, we have great in-house designers to help you make your merch Badass! The art fee for this service depends on how badass you want your graphics to be, but that is up to you!
Q: Can I mix and match sizes and colors of tshirts?
A: Of course, in fact we recommend it! The worst thing a band can do is order a bunch of the same size and then go on tour and realize that they should have gotten a much wider distribution of sizes, etc. And keep in mind what size the majority of your fans are so you make sure to get the merch that will fit them! As long as the print stays the same you can mix and match until your heart's content.
Q: Do you print with waterbase or discharge inks?
A: No, and the reason is very simple - it's bad for us and everyone else! Let's face it, you're in a band that sells merch from a booth - you don't need to pretend that you are in a high-end, fashion boutique. These inks are hazardous to work with and supporting them would be like making us sniff a bag of toxic chemicals! We typically print with plastisol inks, and have recently upgraded to a wonderful eco-friendly option that is new, and certainly badass. Q: Am I badass if I have a mustache and a huge poster of Tom Selleck on my wall?
A: Most likely, but to seal the deal you might wanna get a few more Selleck posters, and make sure that mustache has handlebars!
Q: If I already have a screen-printer, what is my incentive to switch to Badass Merch?
A: Again, it comes down to whether or not you just want merch, or if you want Badass Merch. The difference is simple, other printers don't care about their customers as much as we do, and they definitely don't take the time to make suggestions to direct you in the best way to buy and sell your merch.
